From local and indie film screenings to more art workshops and DND groups, we have been busier than ever and would like to thank everyone who has watched/drank/eaten/laughed/exercised/got creative with us during our second year of being in Reading. Here's to the next two!
It's been another great year, Reading, and we hope you can join us to mark our 2nd Birthday in style from Friday 4th - Sunday 6th August. Here's a peak at what you can expect...
Film Favourites
The RBF team have picked some of our favourites to screen especially for our 2nd Birthday weekend.
John Water's cult classic Hairspray (1988) starring Divine, Ruth Brown, Ricki Lake and Debbie Harry. Showing Friday 4th at 9pm.
Rom-com with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, You've Got Mail (1998). Showing Saturday 5th at 6:30pm.
The Shining (1980) by Stanley Kubrick. The best horror film ever made (fight us, Stephen King!). Saturday 5th at 9pm.
De Niro/Pesci/Liotta directed by Scorsese in Goodfellas (1990). Bellisima! Sunday 6th at 7:30pm.
Music
Our favourite disc jockeys from Certain Sound Records will be playing a great mix of tunes in the Foyer all day Saturday!
Events
Sylvia Wolfer is running a Free Pilates taster in the Biscuit Tin on Saturday 5th August at 1pm. The perfect self-care treat for your mind and body.
Get the family together for some fun over the weekend! Reading artist Caroline Streatfield is running Puppet Making Workshops based on your favourite film characters. Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th, 11am and 2pm.
And to finish the weekend off, we're holding a very special Birthday Quiz Night Sunday 6th at 6pm.
